(1) Clutch slips when clutch engaged (Pedal Up)
Possible Causes :
1. Clutch release lever incorrectly adjusted.
2. Clutch release linkage binding.
3. Pedal linkage adjustment incorrect.
4. Clutch pressure springs weak or broken.
5. Worn friction disc facing.
6. Grease or oil on clutch disc facing.
7. Warped clutch disc.
8. Broken engine mount.

(2) Clutch spins when clutch disengaged (Pedal Down)
Possible Causes :
1. Clutch release lever incorrectly adjusted.
2. Pedal linkage adjustment incorrect.
3. Friction disc hub binding on clutch shaft.
4. Warped friction disc or pressure plate.
5. Friction disc facing loose.
6. Broken engine mount.

(3) Clutch noises when clutch engaged (Pedal Up)
Possible Causes :
1. Misalignment of engine and transmission.
2. Friction disc damper springs weak or broken.
3. Friction disc hub loose on clutch shaft.

(4) Clutch noise when clutch disengaged (Pedal Down)
Possible Causes :
1. Clutch release lever improperly adjusted.
2. Clutch bearing worn, binding or without lubrication.
3. Crankshaft pilot bearing worn or without lubrication.
4. Clutch retracting spring worn or weak.

(5) Excessive friction disc wear.
Possible Causes :
1. Resting the left foot on the clutch pedal while driving.
2. Frequent use of clutch.
3. Incorrect clutching and de-clutching (slowly or quickly)
4. Installation of oversize tiers. (Increases the load on clutch)
5. Cracks on the flywheel or pressure plate surfaces.
6. Weak or broken clutch pressure springs.
7. Warped clutch pressure plate or friction disc.
8. Clutch pedal linkage improperly adjusted.
9. Clutch release linkage binding.

(6) Clutch pedal pulsation.
Possible Causes :
1. Clutch release lever improperly adjusted.
2. Clutch pressure plate or friction plate warped.
3. Pressure plate assembly misaligned.
4. Diaphragm is damaged (Diaphragm clutch)
5. Fly wheel distorted or not properly seated on crankshaft flange.
6. Clutch housing distorted.

(7) Clutch pedal stiff.
Possible Causes :
1. Clutch pedal linkage lacks lubrication.
2. Misaligned linkage parts that are binding.
3. Clutch pedal linkage springs improper.
4. Clutch pedal linkage out of adjustments.
5. Clutch pedal bent and binding with floor board.
